Troubled Relationship Poetry
By: Kim Phillips

Troubled relationship poetry can be good food for the soul.

For example, people in long distance relationships that are going sour, due to unhealthy arguing over the phone, should just write.

Find a way to help yourself deal with the pain. A lot of times reading others words of pain can help you to relate and see that if they can get over it, so can you.

Just as listening to a relationship song on breakups can have you crying. Reading some troubled relationship poetry can give a similar release.

Weather you are getting out of an abusive relationship or one filled with cheating. Write your own troubled relationship poetry.
Give yourself some relationship quizzes that will help you see the light.

Realize how your situation is and that for your well being going through a breakup and enduring the pain of it will be better for you in the long run.

The beautiful Kim Phillips has two heartfelt poems that she would like to share with you. Nicely written and I'm sure someone can relate. I sure could.

The first is a definite in the category of troubled relationship poetry. The second is all in the eyes of the reader! With that said...

Enjoy...

He and I

By: Kim Phillips

I wanted him but he not me.
He wanted another lover,
But needed what I gave.
He thought she was better,
And threw me away.

Now the memories on my tongue
taste bitter sweet.
The days of love and passion
no longer cloud my mind.
The misery of goodbye and loss
have also faded with time.

He, for me now,
is a placement of year and space,
A reminder of who I was
and from where I escaped.

I may not have been the one he chose,
And I am the one he no longer knows.
But I’m the one he sometimes dreams about,
The one he thought he could live without.

I have no doubt he thinks of me,
Maybe not often and only fleetingly,
But the thought comes and again goes and with it;
The passion we clung to and the love we could never show.

Regret

By: Kim Phillips

You should have walked away…
You shouldn’t have stayed
But you did and I could not resist
I see your bare flesh
And I want to tear into it
I want to taste it
I want to dig my nails into your skin
Feel the liquid heat of your blood flowing over my fingers
I want to write my name in it across your body
I want you to beg me to stop
But I won’t…
I want to feel your heart beat
I want to hold your heart in my hands
I will not be gentle
I want to feed from you
I want to nourish you
I want to take from you
I want to leave my mark upon you
I want you to know me
Remember me
Regret me
