but now we're apart
and I know how it feels
to have a broken heart.
The love I had for you
grew and grew
I thought we would last
but we are so through.
When we walked together
hand and hand
it seemed to me
that I ruled the land.

and shining light
that guided me

I once was winning
this love race
but you pulled me back
