Shoot I suggest even checking out some love and relationship books so you can give some advice on how to watch out for bad relationships and let him know that breaking up is going to happen at least once.
For my mothers and sons dealing with gay relationships please discuss gay bashing. Hate crimes are cruel but do affect our youth. Mother son relationships need to remain strong and flourish. Allow him to know he will always be able to cry on your shoulder if need be.
