It Could Never Be

Sierra never got along with the girls in her High school, she didnt have many friends accept her one best friend Jason. He was always there for her, with his blue eyes, black hair, dimples, and tan skin it was hard not to notice him. When he made varsity on the high school football team girls started to notice him even more and he started spending less time with Sierra at school. But she could always count on him climbing through her window at night and laying on her hardwood floors just talking until twelve a.m. Sierra had always loved knowing that he was always there and she could always count on their friendship but lately she'd been wanting more than just friendship. She decided that she would tell Jason at lunch that she was falling in love with him. She took him under the big Oak tree, their favorite spot and she began saying " Jason I've known you since we were three, you've been my best friend. And you know I love you but recently-" "Jason, sweetie I've been looking all over for you" Sierra got cut off by the co-captain of the cheer leading team, Cassidy. Cassidy sat down on Jason's lap and kissed him, a long passionate kiss. When they broke apart Jason said " Oh Sierra this is my girlfriend Cassidy, Cassidy this is my best friend Sierra." "It's nice to meet you, but babe our other friends are waiting come on", said Cassidy as she started walking off. Jason turned back to Sierra who was trying to hide the hurt expression on her face. He sdaid' Sorry I didnt tell you early about Cassidy and me. " "Its fine, really." she said with a fake smile. They started walk away from the oak tree when he turned and said you were gong to tell me something. Sierra just smiled and said " Oh its doesnt matter now, its fine." From then on Jason and Sierra spent less time together than before and his visits through her window at night had stopped. It had been over three months since they had lost talked until one night she heard a familiar sound outside her window. She walked over to it and to her surprise it was Jason trying to get in. She opened the window and watched silently as he climbed in. They stood in silence for a while just staring at each other until she finally asked" What are you doing here?" He looked a little bit hurt and said " What do you mean? I always come over, your my best friend. You know that don't you?" He took a step closer towards her and she backed away and said "We havent spoken in months and I don't think you should be here, in my bedroom when you have a girlfriend." "Cassidy and I broke up three weeks ago." She was taken back. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, why didn't you tell me." His blue eyes met hers. "Don't be sorry it wasn't working out, I think I'm in love with some one else." he said. He moved closer to Sierra and this time she didn't back away. " Oh yeah who's the lucky girl" she asked trying to fight back tears. He took her hand and said "Its you. I love you and these past few months have been the worst of my life. You're the only person who gets me, you know me and I realized I need you in my life." Sierra felt a tear run down her cheek, she quickly looked away. " maybe I should go. I just wanted you to know how I felt." As he turned to leave she grabbed his arm.Pulling him in for a long, heart felt kiss. When they broke apart she was smiling at him. "I love you too. I need you in my life." he smiled back at her and kissed her as they fell back down on her bed. It was his first time sleeping on her bed instead of her floor. he whispered to her " I like it up here I can put my arms around you." She smiled and replied " I like you up here too now get some sleep we have school in six hours. Good night." "Good night.Sierra I love you." "Love you too, Jason." And so they slept for those six hours feeling happier than ever before, having everything they ever wanted. THE END
