My father lived in the same city as I and I didn't see him for the first time until I was 19, and haven't seen him but once since then.
But that's not an excuse that my kids well accept or understand.
I have to be a father although I didn't have a father or father figure to show me what a father does.
There are not a lot of examples for young men trying to do the right thing. At some point we as the head, have to think about the younger generation and show some pride and determination to stick out we start.
You can't risk jumping from woman to woman looking for that right fit, all the while leaving a trail of unfathered children along your path.
If we are not ready to "Raise" kids we must learn to put on a condom or simply pull out, but we can not run out, when things aren't the way we want them.
We can not afford to be so quick to leave marriages and families.
Push that stinking thinking to the side and FIGHT:
Fight for family
Fight for our parent child relationship
Fight for our future
I know it's a cliché but The Children are our Future, and it begins with the bond built in your father son relationship.
For the fathers raising sons from another man, treat him with the respect of your own flesh and blood. I say respect because we can't let our anger affect our son's life negatively. They did not ask to be here but they do deserve you.
