We live by our choicesand die behind decisions
So I choose Family
and to make it work is my mission
The streets made me hard
Life made me real
My mother made me whole
but this family made me feel
So I fight against the voices
that tell me I'm to young
and even the friends
That tell me I'm dumb
Whether wrong or right
To me doesn't mean much
Because my family is all I got
and that's more than enough
Tough has been the journey
blessed has been the travel
but I know who wins the war
so I won't give up because of battles
We're only human
Mistake will come
but if we fight through the night
Our reward will be the sun
And we can converse with the clouds
and share secrets amongst the stars
Because up there we're all family
No matter who we are
