You stayed a friend during the deepest part of the night
when no one else cared and my shadows left me alone
just the sound of your voice
made jail feel like home
As time flies
ties in our bond grow stronger
and under your embrace
the world couldn't build a safer place
So I relaxed in your refuge
Which was the first of my mistakes
Because you took my serenity for stupidity
and tried to find something a head of first place
So you cheated and lost
but I won the prize of pain
because now when you come around
nothing feels the same
Now your sorry’s sound sorry
and your forgive me’s fall short
Because now I’m just another tear drop
