A Mother's Love

At 17 my friends were partying and having fun,I was having you.
My family insisted I abort or give you away.
I never considered it, because you were special to me.
26 years later, I continue with that love
but you run away and I can not find you.
My grandchildren call and want me to come, but you will not let me see them. Who is this monster who stole you away from me?
He is nothing but a chemical that makes your fantasy real but for a fleeting moment.
This, a Mother's love can not defeat, but her love lies awake at night with hope of a phone call.
I will always love you and in my spirit life beyond I will seek you.
When God gives me rest I hope to know the outcome of this Mother's love.
